WELCOME TO THE HOME OF RED BANK SOCCER!
Offense is art. It cannot be forced. It is spontaneous, joyful unification of the body and the mind. Therefore there are days it won't happen. The circuits of the brain will not open. The right hemisphere remains inaccessible.
Defense needs none of this. Defense is dull, boring, commonplace. It is the unimaginative plodding to duty. It is grit and determination and perseverence. It requires-- can I use the word?-- simply an act of the will. There is never a day you can't play defense. All you need is the decision to put out. To give one hundred percent.

Please get to field at least 30 minutes early so we can talk and strategize, etc.; this is a new rule being implemented by coach Dave M. For those that aren’t good at math, be at the field by 8: 45!

Season Opener
Saturday - September 12, 2009
Ok, so it all gets started for real on 9/13 at Dorbrook Park vs. Middletown Inter at 9:15 am. Lets have a good showing and get this season started off on the right foot; no pun intended.
Based on our scrimmage and practices, we should be more than capable in winning our division. Play hard, play smart and let the ball do the work; play smarter not harder.
See you on the pitch

2009/2010 Season
Saturday - August 22, 2009
The second half of last season is an indication that we are a very talented team. I have always believed this and think I share that opinion with a lot of you.
The turn out for practice last week was impressive and I truly think that we will finally put it together this year. I for one just can't wait to get it going. That been said I think we should continue to meet every Sunday rain or shine until the season starts so we are all in mid season form by the time we start.
As you all know, motivation for the upcoming season has been packaged and delivered to us by our ex team mates so we are not lacking in that department. However we still have to play as a team to deliver a strong showing.
Like I always say, there is no other team I would rather play on and I am totally committed to this team as I hope you all are. So let's go get it done!!!

New Season... New Team...
Saturday - August 21, 2009
A lot has changed since the end of last season. Some guys have left for greener pastures, while others are recovering from injury. We have also added some new players, like Larry, Ryan and Dave, and brought back old friends, Alex and Kevin. Should be an interesting year.

League Cup Game #1 - May 10th
Tuesday - May 5, 2009
Well, we can’t win them all. But we do have a make up game against them so maybe we will have a better showing the next time around.
Lets wipe the slate clean and focus on winning the league cup; this is like a whole new season. And it all starts this Sunday at 8:30 am vs. Vodka Juniors in West New York; the directions are on the website, redbanksoccer.net/schedule/directions.html. The directions are for a building across the street from the field so just use them as a reference; I looked at the field on Google maps and should be very easy to find. Also, this field is Astroturf. For the Red Bank guys, it’s about an hour away so everyone keep in mind the early start; and this is not a ploy to get you there early, the game time is really 8:30am!

2009 Spring Season
Sunday - April 26, 2009
What a beautiful day today and especially a beautiful day for a soccer game.
We didn't look great today, but we didn't need to be. Despite the heat and nagging injuries we still managed to pull out another victory. Great team effort all around! This is a great start to the Spring and this is the first time we are undefeated through any part of season in a long time. This Spring we are 3-0-1, for 10 points and only 1 goal allowed in those 4 games. We have 18 points over all and a -2 goal differential and we are somewhere in the top 3 in the division.
The team we play next week will be our barometer as to where we really stand; it will take a full team effort to beat them. I think they are going to be surprised, enough said.
Don’t forget, Sunday, May 10th will be the first game of The League Cup and we will be away vs. Vodka Juniors. Their home field is up north in West New York, directions and more info to follow next week.

2009 Spring Season
Sunday - March 29, 2009
Hope everyone had a nice winter; and have been keeping in shape. A few of us have been playing indoors while others have been snowboarding; still haven’t figured out how that relates to soccer.
But anyway, as we get started for the Spring, there have been some changes to our team. Ray has retired, as you may or may not know, and we have added four new players, one of which is goalie. Thank you Luke for stepping up, the team appreciates it.
We get started this coming Sunday with a scrimmage vs. Middletown Inter at Dorbrook Park. And our first game of the Spring season is a night game vs. Beachwood on April 29th.
